4 Photographs
Size: 2" x 2" (passport size), full-face. Please print your name on the back of each photo. We cannot be responsible for photos without names on them. The photos are used for identification only and not for admissions purposes.
College Transcript
This must be official and show credits and grades for all courses taken to date. Transfer students must submit official transcripts from each institution attended. All summer school work should be similarly documented.
Passport Photo Page
Please make a copy of your passport photo page and email this copy to jlevy@allianceglobaled.org. Or you can snail mail your passport photo page to Julia Levy (Alliance for Global Education, 450 S. Easton Road, Glenside, PA 19038). This photo page is required before you can be accepted to the program. This document is required by your Chinese host university. Important Chinese visa documents will not be released until your passport photo page is received.
Statement of Purpose [pdf]
This statement of purpose must address your interest in studying in China and this Alliance program specifically, as well as provide background on your academic interests, international or intercultural experiences, and any other relevant personal information.
Chinese University Applications
In addition to the Alliance application, our Chinese partner institutions require applicants to complete their university application. Before filling out the University Application please read the Sample Application (disregard the photo request). Then save the PDF and send it as an attachment to Julia Levy, or print and send by email scan or snail mail or fax to Julia. This application is required before you can be accepted to the program.

Chinese Essay [pdf]
All students, except absolute beginners in Chinese, must submit a handwritten essay in Chinese characters.
Study Abroad Advisor's Form [pdf]
Indicate your program choices and the study period and sign this form before you submit it to your dean, study abroad advisor or other home campus official responsible for approving study abroad.
Academic Recommendation Form [pdf]
Indicate your program choices and the study period, and sign this form before you submit it for completion by a faculty referee (non-foreign language) who is familiar with your performance in the classroom.
Language Recommendation Form [pdf]
Indicate your program choice and the study period and sign this form before you submit it for completion by a faculty referee who is familiar with your performance in the study of foreign language. The language form is not required if you have not taken any Chinese.

Internship Placement Forms [pdf]
Students interested in applying for an internship at BCLU or SUFE must complete the attached forms and submit them to the Alliance by email scan or fax. Qualified applicants must have completed three semesters of Chinese language.
